Terms of Service

Last updated: October 9, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Pottery Marks: Porcelain ID ("the App") published by Bulpara Inc ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to them.

1. What the App does

The App reads maker's marks on pottery and porcelain from your photos using AI models, and dates them from evidence on the mark. Scanning needs an internet connection and depends on our server and the AI services being available. The Tools work offline.

2. Information only, not an appraisal

Results are for information only. AI readings can be wrong, marks were copied, reused and faked, and a date range is an estimate. The App does not value, authenticate or appraise items, and you should not rely on it for buying, selling, insurance or legal decisions. When it matters, consult a qualified specialist.

3. Your photos

You must have the right to photograph and submit the items you scan. Don't submit photos of people or anything unlawful. How photos are handled is described in the privacy policy.

4. Subscriptions

Premium is an auto-renewable subscription: $6.99 a month, or $39.99 a year with a 7-day free trial (prices in US dollars; they vary by country). Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription. Premium includes up to 200 answers a month under fair use. Refunds are handled by Apple.

5. Acceptable use

Don't reverse engineer the App, abuse or overload our server, or use the App to build a competing dataset or service.

6. Disclaimer and liability

The App is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made on the basis of a result. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

7. Apple

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms; the new version will be posted here with a new date.
